The two also plan to have her surgically altered to look like Xie Yuqi, then kill her and swallow the Xie family's entire fortune—Xie Jiao's parents had already died in a car accident arranged by Wang Qitian. Xie Jiao unexpectedly regains her sight, stumbles upon the plot, and escapes at the risk of her life. She is saved by her childhood sweetheart Fu Yunshen. It turns out Fu Yunshen is president of the Fu Consortium and has quietly guarded her for years. Wang Qitian and Xie Yuqi collude with senior figures in the Fu Consortium to strike back, publicly humiliating her at a welcome banquet. Fu Yunshen reveals his identity on the spot and exposes every crime. In the end the villains are brought to justice, Xie Jiao reclaims the family business, and she and Fu Yunshen end up together.
