Who Is Young Master Lu's True Favorite

On the eve of the engagement, Lu Xiuyuan gets into a car accident that causes his girlfriend Lin Ya to lose her memory. Bearing intense guilt, Lu Xiuyuan settles her in a villa to recuperate and, following the doctor's orders, protects her to excess—yet this also sows the seeds of disaster. When Lu Xiuyuan announces the engagement, both the stepmother of the Lu family and the socialite Su Qingya mistakenly believe that the fiancée he has chosen is Su Qingya. Su Qingya barges into the villa uninvited, humiliates Lin Ya as nothing but a "stand-in," and produces the ring that symbolizes the matriarch of the Lu family. The Lu family's stepmother arrives soon after and, for her own gain, joins in testifying. Lin Ya, her trust shattered, is provoked; her old illness flares up again, and the others forcibly drag her out of the villa and threaten her. Just as she discovers she is bleeding and sinks into despair, Lu Xiuyuan—who has only just learned the glad news that she is pregnant—is hurrying back. A rescue and a reckoning of love and betrayal are about to unfold.
