The Stolen Farewell

In a late-night car crash, Chief of Surgery Chen Tianbao makes a decision in the limited time he has: he chooses to save his father-in-law. But never in his dreams did he think this decision would cost him his birth father forever. His wife's deliberate concealment, and even a scheme she designs on purpose so that he will miss his father's farewell ceremony, serve only to cover an earth-shattering secret—the one who caused this crash is none other than his drunk-driving father-in-law. When his mother Gao Xiuhong reveals the bloody truth at the cemetery, Tianbao is shocked to realize that he has become an accomplice of the wealthy family. Justice should not be absent. He personally reports his wife and father-in-law, who are implicated in the case, and watches as the handcuffs are put on them. Afterward, he resigns his post at the big hospital, returns to the small village that bore and raised him, and becomes a village doctor, using the most ordinary companionship to stitch the wound in his mother's heart that cannot heal.
