Master, Stop Draining Me!

Yang Zhen was born with formidable innate energy and has trained his body to be the strongest in the world. But his master, the Spirit Lord, was gravely wounded long ago and survives only by draining Yang Zhen's energy, so everyone sees him as a useless brawler. When Qingyun Sect, the top sect of Tongzhou, holds its entrance trials, the Yang family is humiliated by the Li family and nearly wiped out. At the crucial moment the Spirit Lord no longer needs his energy, and Yang Zhen's full power erupts as he knocks down the arrogant Li Chengtai. The sore-losing Li family then hires Li Guanyun, a master expelled from the Heavenly Gate, to massacre the Yangs. The Spirit Lord possesses Yang Zhen to save him, but falls into a deep sleep from the strain, pressing a mysterious jade pendant into his hand. The Li family has no idea how powerful the backer of the man they mock really is, or what earth-shaking secret the pendant hides.
