Story summary
Ye Ning arrives at the bakery for their date after finishing her night shift, but because the program runs long without warning she misses the first batch coming out of the oven, and the seat Cheng Yu saved for her is piled full of delivery boxes. She assumes he must be disappointed, and only upon entering does she see the sudden equipment problem in the shop. Each of them handles what they must deal with, then they share an ordinary breakfast and decide that from now on they will be explicit about whether they can be on time, no longer letting lateness automatically stand for not caring.
