Story summary
While sorting the magazine proofs she completed with Xu An in the living room, An Yun says she likes him, only to find he has always understood their closeness as the rapport of a long-term working partnership. Xu An does not immediately give a reassuring yes, and she makes clear she does not want feelings to affect payment or bylines. The two finish the night's work first and leave themselves time to think; when they meet again a few days later, they can start from their personal lives rather than using work to avoid the subject.
