Story summary
Deng Cheng invites Shen Heng to a seaside bench to watch the tide, intending to confess, but he first hears her decision to move to another city for further training, and his prepared words suddenly become hard to say. He still speaks his feelings and makes clear he will not ask her to change her plans. Shen Heng responds that she is willing to try getting to know each other, but refuses long-term promises that cannot be kept; the two discuss a next meeting that is realistically possible, keeping their affection within what they can carry.
