Story summary
Wen Qing always leaves a light on at closing time for Song Yan, who lingers late, until consecutive early mornings leave her utterly exhausted, prompting her to finally decide to close on time and clearly state the business hours. Song Yan feels awkward at first, but soon finds another workspace and begins packing up early. The last cup of coffee is no longer accompanied by silent waiting, and the goodnight at the door regains its ease; their familiar relationship is realigned through a timely voiced need.
