Story summary
Ye Ning and Lin Xu argue over a drawing in the living room under the lamp. As the night deepens, it becomes harder to tell whether they are discussing the artwork or blaming each other, and only exhaustion remains in the once warm room. They write down their differing opinions on paper and agree to look at them the next day, without demanding that a consensus be reached before sleep. After the lights are turned off, the issues remain, yet both stop hurting each other further; upon re-reading the notes in the morning, an overlooked need can finally be heard with calm.
