Story summary
At the station before departure, Song Rui is entrusted with delivering an old letter, but the recipient, Qi Heng, states that he had long known of the farewell inside—only never understanding why it arrived so late. Tracing the mailing records, she discovers the step where the address was miscopied, without attempting to explain the emotions on anyone's behalf. Qi Heng ultimately writes a brief reply confirming receipt before boarding the train as planned; a relationship suspended for years is brought to closure through a definite confirmation.
