Story summary
Ye Zhen mails Lu Qing a bouquet of dried flowers every week, hoping to bridge the distance of their long-distance relationship, but during a visit finds the gift boxes neatly piled up, completely unopened due to a perpetual lack of time. For the first time, she asks what he truly needs and expresses the kind of response she hopes to receive. Lu Qing admits that outside of work he has never made space for their relationship. The two pause the regular deliveries to first try arranging their next meeting together before deciding whether to continue investing.
