Story summary
Lin Rui promised to finish restoring a volume of local gazetteers collected by Yu Heng before the rainy season, but continuous dampness slows the drying process; she decides to visit the bookstore in person to explain that she cannot deliver it by the original date. Yu Heng had already arranged a display, but after listening, he changes the exhibition to introduce the restoration process, turning both the damage and the waiting into part of the content. The two agree anew to accept the delivery based on its actual state; the book ultimately arrives several weeks late, but it does not lose page corners that could have been preserved due to rushing.
