Story summary
On the last bus, Lin Rui receives an impromptu gathering invitation from old friend Xu Ye; on one hand is a rare reunion, on the other is an important recording that must be completed the next morning. She finally stops relying on staying up all night to prove she cares, instead explaining why she cannot attend and proposing a feasible alternative date. Xu Ye accepts the refusal, and the two have a proper meeting during the day the following week; Lin Rui also discovers that maintaining a friendship does not require fulfilling every invitation that very night.
