Story summary
While practicing flower arrangement at the flower shop, Meng Ling receives a returned thank-you letter; the recipient, Zhou Yu, admits to having moved, but had not expected her to still remember an instance of design assistance. She assumed his silence meant a reluctance to stay in touch, while he worried that accepting thanks would be seen as asking for compensation. The two verify the original boundaries of their collaboration, settle the design fee that was due, clearly write down the new address, and decide to start communicating with an ordinary meeting.
