Story summary
He Ran asks Lu Zhi to meet at the flower shop to choose an anniversary bouquet, but what she receives is an unfinished flower stand he made and a request to cancel their expensive dinner. He had been hiding his recent change in income; what angers her is not the reduced budget, but being unable to participate in the decision. Together, they finish modifying the flower stand, cancel reservations beyond their means, pick an ordinary bouquet from the shop, and renegotiate their shared living expenses.
