Story summary
Ye Qing accompanies Mo Xu along an old path in the park at dusk; as the other person repeatedly asks whether she regrets leaving back then, what began as a peaceful walk gradually turns into an endless cycle of explanations. She explains that she has already made her decision clear and chooses to end the conversation at the exit. Mo Xu does not receive the hoped-for alternative answer, but also drops the intention to keep trying to hold on; an ordinary 'good night' brings a closure audible to both sides of this repeatedly backward-looking relationship.
