Story summary
Ning Che goes to a café to meet Gu Qiao for their first offline collaboration, only to realize right before heading out that her voice is unwell, making her worry that being unable to speak will render the meeting pointless. Gu Qiao changes the passages originally meant for reading aloud into a written discussion, and the two exchange notes on their understanding of pauses and stress. She gradually lets go of the pressure to always appear professional, agreeing to record once she recovers and allowing their dynamic to begin quietly in the meantime.
