Story summary
Fang Ling takes Xu Heng to a weekend community exhibition, hoping he will understand her low-budget creative work, but he keeps offering commercially minded revision advice, causing both to grow increasingly silent as they walk. She clarifies that the invitation was simply to share her work, not to ask for an evaluation. Letting go of his professional habits, Xu Heng listens attentively to the neighborhood stories behind the pieces; later, she also visits his project.
