Story summary
After work, Qin Ning discovers that an introductory passage in the new menus uses unauthorized text by Ye Chuan. With printing already completed, she must decide between making the promotional launch and reprinting. She halts distribution, explains the situation to the author to discuss the permissible scope of use, and ultimately removes the unconfirmed text to reprint a simplified menu. The loss is truthfully accounted for as a cost, and Ye Chuan is willing to complete a new commission; their collaboration begins with a choice that does not evade consequences.
