Story summary
He Shuo meets Su Yao for a date in a park at dusk, only to find that she brought not a gift, but a broken ceramic planter that requires a joint decision on whether to repair it. The planter once held a plant they bought when they began dating, and its repair touches on their differing attitudes toward the past. In the end, they keep the fragments as garden markers, transplant the plant into a new pot, and acknowledge that continuing together does not require restoring everything to its original state.
