Story summary
Gu Yi agrees to meet Wen Xu at the station before leaving; Wen Xu originally intended to persuade her to delay the overseas assignment, but after receiving the complete itinerary, brings instead an explanation of transfers along the route. The two clarify how often they will communicate across distances and admit there is still no answer as to whether they will live in the same city in the future. She boards the train on time, while he writes his unsaid words into an ordinary text message; keeping this appointment stops no one from departing, yet removes a layer of guesswork from the farewell.
