Story summary
A year after Duan Ning and Ye Zhi first met in the park, he finally admits, while they pack away sketching supplies at dusk, that he keeps signing up for walks mainly to spend more time with her. Ye Zhi feels the same way, but does not want their organized activities to carry the expectations of a personal relationship. They agree to complete their scheduled public activities first, then choose an unfamiliar route for a separate walk. The confession leaves their existing arrangements in place while creating new time they can decide on together.
