Story summary
While sorting through voice memos in the lamplit living room, Xu Qing discovered furniture repair notes left by her former roommate Song Yuan, containing an incomplete remark about preparing to move out. She had always interpreted his departure as dissatisfaction with living together, but upon reconnecting, she learned he had taken a job that had been planned long before.
