A Mother's Day Gift

On Mother's Day, her son hands her a tightly wrapped gift and says only that it was "very expensive." Sitting on the sofa, she unties the twine and opens the kraft-paper box to find a small pink box hidden inside. The moment she opens it, she freezes. After a pause she looks up and says calmly, "I'll accept this gift." What's inside, she never says.
