Kindness Is Not Weakness

Xia Zhili never wronged anyone in his life, yet his daughter Xia Wanqing was killed by the three ungrateful protégés he had personally sponsored. She wakes up on the day before it all began. This time Wanqing doesn't cry or complain: she smiles as she accepts Qiao Ya's "concern" and quietly installs cameras in her room. When Qiao Ya drugs a drink and stages a scene to cry assault, the whole company watches the truth play out on the big screen. When the three protégés break into her room at night with a knife to demand the lab data, the police have been waiting outside her door for half an hour. She closes the door and says softly, "Come, let's settle this slowly."
