Stories

Hey, there you are.

I’m so glad you could make it. I wasn’t exactly planning to ditch work and spend time at the beach… but it’s such a beautiful day. I couldn’t resist.

Come sit with me!

I wasn’t sure if you got my message for what to pack so I brought you a towel.

There’s also some drinks and snacks here…

We’ve got watermelon, cucumber and some crackers…

I also threw in some sodas and water bottles. Just help yourself, alright?

This beach is so close by, it’s such a shame I don’t come here more often.

Have you been to this spot before?

I’m so jealous. Why did you never invite me?

That’s rude!

Well, I invited you this time… so next time you’re here, I expect a very apologetic text invite.

So… how have you been?

I feel like I haven’t seen you in ages.

Oh, that’s right, the last time would have been like… over a month ago. At that party. God, that was such a fun night.

And I remember you getting a little handsy at times…

With who?

Uh, Megan? How do you not remember?

You’re such a flirt.

Oh, yeah, isn’t this beach blanket so cute?

Yeah, yeah, it’s new. I just got it last week.

I was having such a frustrating day at work and I decided to just spend the last hour of it doing some online shopping.

What? It’s a weakness, I’m sorry! Don’t judge me!

Anyways, I thought later that it was a bit of a waste of money… I mean, how often do I even go to the beach? But now that I’ve used it, it’s so big and comfy, definitely no regrets here.

I’ll just have to make time to come down here more often while the weather is still nice.

Can you believe summer is halfway over already?

It’s crazy—I feel like it just flew by.

I know, I definitely don’t take advantage of the warmth while it’s here and then all winter I’m so miserable and just wishing it was summer again. Then, when it is summer, I never go out and do anything just for fun.

Like this—I could be doing a million other things today but no, I’m going to sit here and enjoy the sun… the sand between my toes… the sound of the water.

Seriously, thank you for coming to keep me company. I do want to spend more time out here, I just would rather not do it alone.

So maybe we can be beach buddies from now on.

Oh, come on, beach buddies? That’s cute! You like it, I can tell by that smirk on your face.

Hey, I like your sunglasses, by the way.

They really suit you!

Do you think you can help me for a second?

I just need a hand applying sunscreen… I feel like I’m reapplying it every half hour because I burn so easily.

Yeah, you can just squirt some into your hands and…

here, I’ll loosen these strings for you so you can get my whole back…

Thanks.

Damn… this is like a mini-massage.

You’re really spreading it around back there.

Aw no, don’t stop. I was teasing. Not complaining… definitely not complaining.

Oh, you are really good with your hands.

Thank you.

Let me just tie the strings back…

Hey, guess what I figured out the other day?

So, you’ve been to my place, right? You know my bathroom, with the walk-in shower and that big gorgeous bay window?

Well… it turns out you can see directly through that window from the driveway.

Yeah, I found out because… I may have given the delivery guy a bit of a show.

Oh my god, you should have seen him. The doorbell rang and I’d just jumped out of the shower. I threw my robe on and answered the door. I thought he was acting kind of weird, his face was a bit flushed and he seemed so nervous.

I didn’t really think anything of it, just accepted my package and went back inside. I went up to the bathroom and the guy literally waved to me!

I just never realized! The way the layout of the house is, that part kind of juts in a little and the driveway is curved… I think it was just the angle he was parked at, he could definitely see… everything.

So, yeah, I learned the hard way that pretty much anything that happens in my bathroom can be seen by anyone who happens to come visit unexpected.

Not that I care… I’ve never really been a prude.

I don’t see the point in it. We’re all just humans, humans have bodies.

What’s with all the secrecy?

Take those exotic beaches for example… they’re all the rave in other places, but if I were to try that here at this beach it would cause such a scene.

Well, of course you want me to do it.

Oh… you’d do it with me, huh?

Yeah, that would give everyone around here something to talk about.

You’re just looking for an excuse to see me take this off, aren’t you?

I mean, it obviously wouldn’t be the first time we’ve seen each other…

Oh, what, like I’m not supposed to bring it up?

I have been thinking about it…

That time… in my car.

Do you ever think about it?

Come on, be honest.

Yeah, me too.

It was so long ago… what, like two years?

But I still think I remember…

Well, yeah. Let’s just say it would take a lot for me to forget that.

What do I remember most about that night?

The sounds you made. Oh, and your lips. Definitely. I mean, you’re not just good with your hands… it’s kind of a whole package.

You definitely know what you’re doing…

What, you asked!

What about you?

That night… what’s the first thing that comes to mind?

Okay, that’s such a cop-out, stealing my answer.

Okay, well… yeah, I guess that’s true.

I do remember you enjoying that particular thing… a lot.

Do you ever think about… doing it again?

Me too.

I mean, people always talk about hookups ruining the friendship and it’s like… we did it and we’re fine, right?

Yeah, it’s like… you just have to decide it’s not going to be a problem. And then not let it be one. You know?

Like with us… we could probably do it again and it’d be like nothing has changed, because we just decided it wouldn’t, and we’d both be on the same page. I think that’s also important.

So much of the time I think one person is like more involved or into it than the other and that just leads to disaster.

But I’m telling you, if you’re on the same page about it being just for fun then it’s really—

It’s really not… a problem…

Your hand. It’s on my leg…

No, don’t move it… I—

I like it.

Did I mean what?

Oh, did I mean what I said?

Which part?

About doing it again?

Yeah, I meant it.

It’s okay. It doesn’t have to mean anything.

I promise… we can just do… just do this.

Yeah, I want to.

Of course you want me to say it.

Okay…

I want you, the way we used to be.

I want to do all those things we used to do…

And I’ve wanted it for so long, thought about it for so long…

Pictured it… tried to remember how it feels… how you feel.

I promise, it won’t change anything.

And no one’s around… let’s just… right here.

Let’s go for it…

Let me feel… through your shorts.

God, you’re already so excited…

You like that? Like my hand on you through the fabric like this?

Yeah, I like it, too.

I want to make you feel good… right here.

No, I don’t care that we’re in public.

I want to see you. All of you.

It’s okay… we’re hidden behind these trees. There’s hardly anyone around.

Let’s just… let’s be bad, just for a minute…

I’ve waited so long, I can’t wait anymore…

And to be completely honest… I don’t really care what they see… or hear…

We can go to my car if you want… but honestly, being out here in the open… it’s kind of fun, isn’t it?
