### Chapter 1: MY Pack Rank System

NOT A CHAPTER

This is the werewolf pack system I use. This applies for every pack within THIS story and this story only.

Alpha: Leader of the pack and is to be obeyed by all of his/her pack. Keeps control of the pack. (A female CAN be an Alpha!)

Luna: Usually the female leader of the pack and is also to be obeyed by all pack members. Hold the similar role to Alpha, with slightly less authority.  While Alpha runs the pack, the Luna cares for it like a mother to a child. The Luna is the most protected of all pack members.

Beta/Beta Female: Second-in-command of the pack. They advise and support the Alpha. Often the Beta Female is found helping the Luna care for the pack, while the Beta Male is found at the Alpha's side.

Delta: The third in control. If something were ever to happen to both the Alpha, and the Beta then the Delta would take control. Often the Delta is a personal body guard to the Luna, and often forms a close bond with with her.

Elders: The old, retired pack members who have been chosen to be on a council . Former Alphas and Betas join after stepping down from their place. The Elder council oversees the Alpha's decisions. The Alpha is supposed to report to them at all times before making a final decision on things.

Pack Members: Normal members of the pack. Includes every member of the pack; Alphas, Betas, Deltas, Elders, and Omegas.

Omegas: The lowest ranked members of the pack. Treated harshly in most packs. They get this rank by: 1. Being weak 2. Doing something wrong . (If they aren't kicked out they become an Omega) and 3. If they were once a rouge and we're allowed to join the pack they usually become an Omega.

Rouges: A  rouge is a wolf without a pack. Can be found in groups but very rare. A wolf can become a rouge by: 1. Leaving their pack, 2. Being kicked out of a pack, or 3. Being forced to because something happened to their pack.

These are the roles I use in this story. This does not apply to all my werewolf stories.

### Chapter 2: A New Pack

Word Count: 1377

Heath's P.O.V.

I woke to a loud knock on my door. I groan as I sit up. I walk over to the door and open it. I hear a gasp and look down to see my sister's best friend staring at me, or actually staring at my bare chest. "Allie. What is it?" I ask, yawning. "Uh.. Heath.. hi! I was sent to get you. An emergency meeting." She says, looking up at me. I sigh and nod before closing my door.

My name is Heath Michelson. I'm 25 years old and the future Alpha of the Black Diamond pack of California. I will be taking over the pack within a couple years now, once my father decides to step down. However, I can't take over until I find my mate. I've been searching for eight years and still can't find her. All I want is a little mate to love and care for.

I get dressed quickly then make my way downstairs and out to the meeting building. I step in and walk up to the front where my parents stood waiting. My father nods then goes up on the stage. "Sorry to call you all on such short notice. I have received some sad news. A nearby pack was recently attacked by a band of rouge wolves. Over half the pack was killed in the battle, and even more injured, leaving many children without parents, and some men and women without their mates. A total of 47 people remain. Their Alpha and Luna both being killed in the battle, I have decided to take in the pack. We have more than enough room, and their are many children needing cared for." He looks around the room before continuing. "I know we have people here willing to take in some of these children. Anyone interested, come by my office some time today. I have a list of all the children needing taken in. The pack will be coming tomorrow morning. I want everyone in this building at 9:00 a.m. and no later. You may all go now. Meeting dismissed." He steps down and comes back to where my mother and I stood waiting.

I smile as i listen to this announcement. Maybe I'll find my mate within these new members. My mother notices my slight excitement. "You seem excited dear. What is it?" She asks. "I might finally find my mate. I hope she's among them.." I say, sighing quietly. "Oh I'm sure you will find your mate soon dear. And I just know she will be perfect for you." She tells me, making me smile. "I just want a mate to take care of... and love for the rest of my life." I tell her. I begin to imagine myself with a mate and family. I smile at the thought, then turn to my parents. "I'm going to go train for a while." I tell them before walking away. I go out to the training grounds and find my sister there with Allie. "Heath come train with us!" My sister says with much excitement. I sigh and walk over. "You sure you can handle it Michelle? I'm fairly rough when training." I tell her teasingly. My sister is a strong girl. However, she only wants me to train them because her best friend has a major crush on me. They are both 17, soon to be 18 within a couple months, and Allie has had a crush on me for years, ever since she was 12 years old.

Michelle had made it her personal goal to get us together, but always failed. I had no interest in the girl to be honest. She was sweet and everything but she's not my mate. She should be finding her mate soon. "We can take it. Teach us one at a time and we will get it for sure." She says. I glance at Allie who is glancing from me to my sister nervously. "Let's see what you've got Mitch." I smirk as I look at Michelle. She hated that nickname. She glares at me then gets into a fighting possition. She runs at me and throws a few punches. I dodge each one, then catch her fist. "You are way to predictable Michelle." I say, making her glare at me and go for a kick. I block it and throw her back. We continue the same routine until she finally gets a good hit and knocks me back. I give them both tips on how to better their movements, then we continue with each of them taking turns.

After a couple hours we were all starting to get really tired. "Let's stop for the day. I'm getting tired and I'm sure you ladies have better things to do. Like homework. It's your senior year, you should stay focused so you can go to college if that's what you decide to do." I tell them. I stretch as I talk. I had not gotten the option to go to college. Being Alpha was my only real goal, other than finding my mate and starting a family some day. "We have both always made straight A's Heath. I don't think this year will be any different. Besides we still have volleyball to worry about so our grades shouldn't be slipping." Michelle says, shrugging. I glance at Allie. "What are your plans for college Allison?" I ask the girl. She looks over at me and shrugs. "I'm not sure yet. I don't know if I even want to go to college." She says, not looking at me. I nod slowly. "College isn't for everyone." I say as we start walking back up to the pack house.

We go our separate ways and I make my way up to my room. I go into the bathroom and take a quick shower. When I'm finished with my shower I wrap the towel around my waist and go out into my room. I hear a scream and look over to see Allie covering her eyes. "What the hell!" I exclaim, going  into my closet. I pull on a pair of shorts then walk back out. "You can uncover your eyes now." I say, crossing my arms over my bare chest. She uncovers her eyes and looks at me, only to look back to the ground. "What are you doing here Allison?" I ask. "I was uh.. wanting to ask you something.." She says nervously. I nod. "Ok what is it?" I ask. She looks up at me and I see more confidence in her eyes. "Will you start training with me? Like one on one. I've never been a good fighter and the little training we did today made me realize you can help me become stronger." I stare at her, slightly shocked. I'd never heard her say so much at once. I also wasn't sure how great of an idea it would be if I were to train a girl that had a crush on me. Then again, it's my job to help my pack.

"I won't go easy on you just because your a girl, or my little sister's friend." I tell her. I see a smile spread across her face. "I know. I don't expect you to." She says. "It's going to be difficult. You may want to quite. But once you start, you won't be allowed to quite until I say you are ready." She just nods to this as well. I didn't expect to ever have to train a teenage girl. I nod. "Alright. Do you have a problem getting up for 5 o'clock training sessions every morning before school?" She shakes her head and I nod again. "Weekends you have off unless something comes up and we are both free to train, which probably won't ever happen. I am always busy." I explain this and she just nods again. "Alright. Tomorrow is Sunday so we won't train. Besides the new pack members will be arriving. I'll see you for our first session Monday morning." I smile. She smiles back and nods. "Thank you so much! You won't regret this I swear." She says before leaving my room. I wasn't sure I'd be able to handle this but I'd try.

*Edit*

Alright peeps look. I was 14-15 when I wrote these stories. Things around going to be weird and very much unrealistic. If that bothers you don't read it.

I've wanted to delete these stories several times over the years but I don't because of the love they do get. I've decided overall that I won't be deleting any of my stories.

So yeah. Thanks for reading.
