44. [01:37] She stands beside the bed, studying me from head to toe.
45. [01:39] Only after a long pause does she finally speak.
46. [01:42] Drink it before it gets cold, Mrs. Reed.
47. [01:43] Cold milk can upset your stomach, Mrs. Reed.

49. [01:48] When the door shut again, I stared at the milk and changed my mind about calling the police.

51. [01:57] Since fate gave me another chance, I was going to pay them back in kind.
52. [02:01] I took the milk into the master bathroom and poured every last drop into the toilet.
53. [02:05] Then I put the glass back on the nightstand, pulled the covers over me, and pretended to sleep.
