When the Fish Come Ashore

Sun Lu, an elementary school teacher who has always kept to her place, is in fact full of rebellion inside and constantly longs to break free of life's constraints. An impromptu home visit unexpectedly leads her into the world of aquarium shop owner Chen Xudong. In her eyes, he is a man raising a child on his own, a "troublemaker" in other people's eyes; yet Chen Xudong sees through her docile exterior to a stubbornness and loneliness identical to his own. As fixed prejudices slowly dissolve, two hearts gradually draw closer in the quiet world of the aquarium. Only then does Sun Lu realize that this man, gentle with others, hides a past he is unwilling to mention. The vast gap between their family backgrounds, together with a long-buried secret, is like a chasm too wide to cross. Can this love break through the many trials of reality and become the redemption in each other's lives?
